National Council was held March 10-13 in Springfield, Mo.  We had lots of folks drop by the RRA booth and chat with us.  If you missed National Council you missed a great time of training and fellowship.  We had over 30 attend the RRA luncheon on Friday and also had over 30 attend the RRA meeting Friday afternoon.  The Royal Rangers Executive Committee approved the wearing of the RRA tie-tack/pin on the dress khaki uniform on the left side in place of the RRI pin.  A new RRA patch will be designed and you may wear it on the utility uniform were the FCF patch is worn.  The 14th Lifetime Service Award was approved during council week and was given to the disctrict director to be awarded to the recipient.  The 15th LSA recepient was nominated on Saturday and will go through the approval process shortly.  An announcement was made at council that the 2011 National Council will be held at the Dallas-Fort Worth airport hotel.

The Lifetime Service Award and is designed to recognize any person, be it a commander, a cook, a bus driver or others that have devoted their life to Royal Rangers.  Please see the LSA page for more information.

Royal Rangers leaders 55 years old and older are being recruited for the Royal Rangers Alumni.  If you are not active in Royal Rangers, but you would like to remain a part of the Royal Rangers ministry, why not join the RRA?  Membership is not limited to "retired" Royal Rangers commanders, it is available to any Royal Rangers commander who is over 55 years old and in good standing with his/her church.  As a RRA member you can serve as much or as little as you desire.  Share you talents and skills with the boys and younger leaders by joining the RRA.
